About the Role
Your key responsibilities:
Own the monthly close process, coordinating inputs from the commercial BPAs and analyzing monthly results to identify key drivers, presenting to the CFO and preparing focused reports to brief leadership
Own the planning cycles, managing wider Finance and non-Finance teams through the planning process, ultimately projecting the commercial and financial plan for the next 12 months to 3 years:
Prepare and manage the overall process, ensuring local inputs and understanding will meet the needs of local management, Regional and Global teams
Using understanding of the business and considering overall company strategy, develop financial targets that best use resources to maximise value for Novartis, working with and often challenging the business to implementConsolidate inputs from Finance and wider teams across the organization to build the overall company financial plan
Analyse data, consolidating the understanding of the commercial BPAs, to present the key themes, risks and Ops and decision points to top managementManage the shared service resource
Develop high quality and insightful reporting that clearly and concisely presents to top management the core dynamics and areas for potential action, driving the move to digital that allows management real time access to data
To be the primary Regional Team contact, acting as the bridge between Italy and the Region for design / development of processes and channeling understanding of performance
Drive discussion within the finance team to share understanding and best practice that can be exploited across the company or lead to resource reallocation
Strive for efficiency in Finance processes, being goal focused to continually review how we work, removing unnecessary processes to focus on how we add value to Novartis, meeting the changing needs of the company
Essential Requirements:
Degree in numeric subject
Minimum 5 years of experience in a related role
Fluent English
Strong Project and Financial Management skills
Strong communication and relationship skills
