Summary

Plan and perform scientific experiments for the preparation and timely delivery of drug substances (DS), drug products (DP), processes and procedures in collaboration within a multifunctional project team.

About the Role

Major accountabilities:

  • Meet quality, quantity and timelines in all assigned projects.
  • Plan, organize, perform and document scientific experiments activities in collaboration with experienced team members if necessary.
  • Proactively seek support and coaching from Project Leader, Scientific Expert or other team members during the whole process if necessary.
  • Plan and perform scientific experiment /plant activities and plan, perform and contribute to project related scientific/technical activities under minimal guidance from more experienced team members under guidance.
  • Contribute to interpretation and results reporting results.
  • Provide raw data documentation, evaluation and results interpretation.
  • Propose and provide input for the design of next experiments.
  • Optimize existing methods and develop more efficient ones.
  • Generate lab procedures, reports and /or instructions and/or SOP’s
  • Use professional concepts and company's policies and procedures to solve a variety of problems.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Bioengineering or related scientific discipline or 2 years of equivalent education/experience may be accepted.
  • Experience/knowledge of basic molecular biology and biochemical techniques, including qPCR, ddPCR, nucleic acid isolation,
  • ELISA, HPLC, CE-SDS, and SDS-PAGE. Experience with AAV a plus but not required.
  • Detail oriented with critical thinking skills.
  • Position requires ability to work collaboratively across a dynamic scientific environment requiring excellent communication
  • skills and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent computer skills, proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $76,300 and $114,500/year; however, while salary ranges are effective from 1/1/24 through 12/31/24, fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges during this period. Further, final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to geographical location, experience level, knowledge, skills and abilities. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
