The primary responsibility is to provide senior leadership to the Program team in projects and operational tasks. The position holder ensures full transparency of ongoing projects progress.
The role is responsible for program and portfolio management & coordination within the Operations department e.g. supporting work streams, providing project execution support and planning support. The role provides senior leadership to programs and large scale transformations by providing guidance, monitoring compliance with project milestones, risks and issues and reporting on program/project status, governance and frameworks at all levels of the program.

Your responsibilities:

• Contribute in a coordinated and collaborative way with business leaders and their teams, as well as other functional colleagues. Collectively, these teams address business and leadership development challenges and opportunities in light of Novartis strategy and build the organizational capability needed to drive the scaling of personal growth.
• Develop and implement project management programs which contain the details of a project.
• Guide and direct project team members to ensure compliance with set standards, procedures, and guidelines.
• Ensure availability of financial, material and human resources required to successfully complete a project.
• Evaluate the progress of a project to detect limitations or faults in order to seek solutions to a more efficient process.
• Monitor industry trends to identify changes in project strategies, tools, terminology and to adjust accordingly.
• Oversee the recruiting and orienting of project personnel to ensure a capable workforce.
• Participate in educational programs to update job knowledge and expand personal network.
• Motivate team members to meet project goals by effectively carrying out their responsibilities.
• Offer solutions effective in meeting set targets and satisfying client requirements.
• Manage every aspect of a project, including its planning, communication, risk assessment, and resources.

Role Requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:

• Bachelors in either a Science, Business, or Economics
• Certified in PMP or Agile/Scrum or PRINCE2 is required.
• Pharma industry experience is a plus but not required
• At least 12 years’ experience in Project & Program Management, and Change Management, collaborating across different divisions and geographies
• Prioritizing and planning, analyzing business requirements, communicating with different customer groups, and managing senior stakeholders
• Major Change/ Transformation program leadership exposure
