Novartis’ Biomedical Research (BR) Informatics (RX) is establishing a strong presence in India, and we are seeking a proactive and versatile professional in the role of Product Manager for Histopathology  and Imaging in Early development workflow (EDW) product line. This position requires a strong commitment to Product Management. As a global company with multiple Biomedical Research sites, efficient and compliant in EDW is crucial to Novartis' success. In this role, there is a focus on managing Histopathology and imaging products.  Additionally, you will ensure that BR products in EDW meets all regulations by authorities.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities: As a Product Manager, you will:

  • Co-lead and manage, together with a Product Operation Manager (POM) and a Technology Lead (TL), a complex, globally deployed, high-impact, and innovative digital scientific software product and set of applications.
  • Develop product management processes in collaboration with business partners; and implement mechanisms to improve processes at scale.
  • Managing multiple stakeholders and define and drive the product roadmap, strategy, and priority for Histopathology, Radiology Imaging processes with product team and senior leadership.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, clinical operations, and business development to ensure successful product launches and ongoing product improvements.
  • Stay current with industry trends and advancements in Histopathology, imaging, and Computer Systems Validation to ensure our products remain competitive, innovative and compliant.
  • Ensure your product contributes to an intentional, integrated, and capability-based software product architecture and continuously increases the value defined by the strategic mandate of the EDW Product Line.
  • Shape teams’ culture and processes for success by demonstrating Co-leadership and excellence in product management.
  • Ensure adherence to Novartis’ global Information Security and Quality standards and policies for all products/services, including GxP compliance if applicable.
  • Develop and maintain product documentation, including specifications, wireframes, and product requirements documents

(Core Skills and Capabilities):

You are experienced in and passionate about product management in complex business environments. You possess a solid foundation in Histopathology and imaging while also having domain knowledge in essential drug discovery scientific disciplines like for preclinical and clinical domain. Your goal is to enhance the quality, speed, and impact of scientific research by delivering exceptional software products. With your collaborative nature and adeptness at managing ambiguity, you leverage your strategic mindset to discern the priorities of potential product activities and developments within a broader business context.

  • Domain expertise in the drug discovery industry, with an emphasis on Histopathology and Imaging for Preclinical and clinical studies.
  • Ability to Co-lead effectively in a co-leadership model inside of a matrix organization, and to contribute to collaborative development and promotion of a shared vision.
  • Strong written, visual, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to execute consistently, rapidly, and effectively.

Essential Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in product management, with a focus on Histopathology, Radiology, and Computer Systems Validation for LIMS systems.
  • Scientific software product management in a complex matrix environment for Pre-Clinical and Clinical domain
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to galvanize a team towards a common goal.
