About the role :

The role has impact on the success of strategic global projects within Procurement and ensures their effective implementation. The ideal candidate brings strong and defendable track record in end-to-end project lifecycle management and data analytics in high matrix organizations.

The role scope is global and requires the ability to engage intentionally with senior stakeholders through a ‘systems’ mind-set, leveraging data and analytics, to provide high-quality insights that enable sound decision-making.

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to

  • Initiate and support impactful projects and their delivery in accordance with project goals, timescales, costs, Novartis methodologies (or other proven methodologies as Agile, Scrum, Prince).
  • Ensure delivery of measurable value for Novartis through proper project management, implement appropriate tools and systems for tracking, reporting, and monitoring progress.
  • Ensure solutions and project results are properly designed, documented, and implemented with little supervision, and in accordance with the agreed project methodology and process/solution design approach.
  • Develop comprehensive reporting mechanisms (ideally leveraging tools such as PowerBI) to provide accurate and timely updates to PLT and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure the data and documentation quality meeting required compliance standards and manage comprehensive storage of records, documentation, and evidence in SharePoint, MSTeams, etc.
  • Prepare executive-level presentations and reports that effectively communicate project status, risks, and opportunities for decision-making. Analysing specifications for optimization. Linking specification to customer value, challenging specification expertly. Conveying messages clearly and convincing partners.

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • Proven knowledge or certifications in any of the following areas: Agile, Design Thinking, Lean Six Sigma, Change management, Process Design Improvement.
  • Advance analytical skills supporting C-level decision-making, including being able to derive insights from data, and visualize them in a compelling manner (mainly leveraging MS Excel, PowerBI, and PowerPoint).
  • Proven experience of working successfully in a collaborative team environment across different cultures, operating with and influencing others to achieve a common objective.
  • Excellent communication skill including the ability to communicate clearly and concisely in spoken and written English. Experience working in an international environment or abroad
  • Mapping and analyzing the ecosystem, meaning how procurement's customers, stakeholders, suppliers, 3rd parties and even competitors play a role in ecosystems. Deriving potential scenarios for ecosystem management, evaluating, and realizing them.
  • Understanding and experience in analyzing spend, demand, supply markets and competitors. Understanding and projecting the dynamics and impacts (e.g., mergers and acquisitions). Extracting, cleansing, and consolidating information to fact-based insights for further usage e.g., in category strategies. Understanding risk management processes.
  • Understanding the Procurement KPIs related to market insights, price, and demand development as well as procurement's performance.

Desirable Requirements:

  • University/Advanced degree in Business Administration/Economics/Engineering is required and master’s degree/other advanced degree or equivalent experience in the supply chain management, business administration or similar is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience with project delivery and data analytics in high matrix organizations. Experience with end-to-end project lifecycle including planning and all elements of project execution.
